Han (Bryce) Lee, (born February 15, 1984), is the owner of Williamsburg Diner, where Max Black and Caroline Channing work.

Biography[]

Born and raised in Korea by traditional Christian parents, Han moved to America on his own, much to the chagrin of his parents, where he opens the diner. He is mostly seen being the butt of his employees' jokes (especially Max), trying his best to drum up business for the diner (even if it means cutting corners and using suspicious ingredients), fiting in and follow the trends to be considered "cool", and on some occasions, trying to find a girlfriend.

Physical Appearance[]

Han is of Korean descent, with black hair and brown coloured eyes. His most noticeable feature is his height, which is mentioned and/or made fun of every time he appears, mostly by Max. He is usually seen wearing different coloured sweaters. He is often mistaken for a little boy, and sometimes even for a little girl.

Personality and Traits[]

In the earlier seasons, Han is portrayed as a stereotypical Asian man and the timid long-suffering owner of the diner, who has to deal with a mostly incompetent diner staff and regularly being made fun of for his small stature, his perceived homosexuality, his lack of a love life, and his ineptitude as a boss. As the show progresses, he becomes more outspoken, insulting Max (and others) back when they make fun of him, learning American slang and pop culture references, and even taking pleasure when the girls experience misfortune in their love lives or their career. Despite this, Han still comes to the aid (albeit sometimes reluctantly or being forced to) of Max and Caroline and the rest of the diner gang when they need it and even when they steal from him and the diner, he never keeps tabs or demands repayment. Whether it's out of kindness or because he is fairly well off financially and therefore doesn't feel the need to demand reimbursement from his broke employees is uncertain.

Another recurring element to his character is his cheapness, such as refusing to provide health care or better for his employees and the dodgy methods he uses in running the diner to cut costs. He buys and uses questionable ingredients that are often implied to be unsafe or illegal, and glosses over health and hygiene regulations, with critters and mold infestations often plaguing the diner.

Relationships[]

Family[]

His mother calls him regularly at the diner. When his mother visited, she mentioned that Han's father had cheated on her with another woman.
