Overview[]
Hey Wikians! I have been meaning to make this post a long time ago but I've been so busy with schools and exams that I never got the chance to. I'm free now (only today though) to show you how to edit the main page!
The page is broken down into different sections, of the main page (Featured Media, Chat, Live Newsfeed etc..) in templates.
Editing[]
Next Episode[]
At the top of the page under the welcome message, a countdown shows when the next episode is going to air. Javascript runs it. The page to view it is MediaWiki:Countdowntest , and to edit it just add ?action=edit. To change the air date just change the date, and leave EDT and 21:00:00 unless the episode airs at another time.
Slider[]
The slider underneath the countdown needs to be updated with the latest pictures and relevant information. Next Episode cannot be added until promo pictures are released. Previous episode must be always be available.
Characters[]
The main characters for the show can be displayed. The template for this is here.
Chat[]
Chat will always stay the same, and the temple for this can be found here.
Featured Media[]
Featured Media can be changed every week, as long as it is relevant to the show (Sneak Peeks, Clips from the episodes, outside videos etc). The template for this can be found here.
Upcoming[]
This shows the plot for the next episode and the template for this can be found here.
Featured Character[]
A featured character from the show can be featured every three weeks, and the template for this can be found here.
Live Newsfeed[]
Live Newsfeed shouldn't really be changed, but can if necessary. It regularly updates itself whenever new news of the show is announced. The template for this can be found here.
External Links[]
Official[]
These should not change, but if you feel the icons are too big you can reduce the size. The template for this can be found here.
Unofficial[]
These include websites which are not run by CBS or 2 Broke Girls. The template for this can be found here.
Helping Out[]
This shouldn't change, as it shows the wiki stats, though the template can be found here.
Affiliates[]
As this wiki is growing, we affiliate with other shows to increase wiki stats. We affiliate with similar shows. Examples are:
- HIMYM (airs before us, airs on same network as us CBS)
- Two And A Half Men (shares same timeslot but on Thursday (I think), airs on same network as us CBS)
- New Girl (comedy)
